Discover the joy of traditional bread baking in this warm and welcoming private class where you’ll learn to make two classics: braided challah and hand-rolled bagels. During this hands-on experience, Emily will guide you through her tried and true recipes for each of these delicious breads.
We’ll begin with challah as you learn how to mix and knead this slightly sweet dough for the perfect texture, practice different braiding styles, and explore options for toppings and add-ins.
Next, we’ll dive into bagel-making, from shaping and boiling to baking up chewy, crusty perfection. Customize your bagels with a variety of classic toppings like sesame, poppy, or everything spice.
And of course there will be time to feast on a delicious spread of bagels (with all the fixings) and thick slices of fresh challah bread.
By the end of class, you’ll leave with two impressive breads, a deeper understanding of yeasted doughs, and the confidence to recreate them in your own kitchen.
