What if I have to cancel a class?

Effective for classes on or after February 1, 2026:

Classes may be cancelled for a refund or class credit up to 7 days prior to the date and time of your class. Please email or call us with your cancellation request. Unfortunately, we’re unable to provide refunds or credits for cancellations made with less than 7 days notice, as this does not give us sufficient time to fill your spot. If something comes up and you are unable to attend at the last minute, you are always welcome to transfer your registration to someone else.

Note: Classes scheduled prior to February 1, 2026 are still eligible for our previous 48-hour cancellation policy.

What should I bring?

There is often food for you to take home with you in our classes. We would like to be as 'green' as possible and encourage you to bring your own containers to cart your culinary booty home! If you have a longer drive home, you might also want to bring a small cooler.

That’s it! We will provide aprons and any other tools related to your class.

What should I wear?

Please no open toed shoes in class—shoes that won’t slip and that will protect your feet from any hot substances is preferable. Shirts should have sleeves that you can roll up or aren’t too baggy.

Will I be cooking?

All of our cooking classes are PARTICIPATION! You will be working with the instructor and fellow students in the kitchen as you learn the techniques for preparing the items related to your class. Whether you are new to the kitchen or have years of experience, there is a class for you: to introduce you to a new type of cuisine, to learn the basics of being a good cook, or to hone your cooking skills.

Will I be cooking with other people or alone?

Depending on the nature of the class there can be individual work, working in teams of two, or working with the instructor as a group. Our small intimate classes have a maximum of 8 people utilizing 4 cooktops. Singles may be paired with another individual. We strive to give everyone a chance to participate in every aspect of the menu in all cases.

Can I bring wine or beer?

You may bring wine or beer to enjoy in any of our classes. No hard alcohol please, and ignore the envious stares of your class mates. We have glasses and openers, the rest is up to you.

How long does a class run?

Most classes run about 2 to 3 hours. Please check the individual class listing for exact timing.

How old do you have to be to take a class?

Our classes are designed for those 14 and older. However, specific Young Adult and Children's Classes will list the respective age ranges for specific class.  Students who are under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign the cooking class waiver on their behalf.
